Rambling....

I figured I should probably update this since everyone else is updating theirs as well...I really don't have anything different to say than they do, however--I'm sick!! disgustingly, painfully, hoarsely, stuffily sick! I think it's slowly going away though, because I don't feel nearly as deathly as I did last night or the night before. I actually thought I was pretty smart (READ THIS MOM) because I was going to spend the night at my friend Lindsey's house, and we were really excited because we hadn't had a weekend without me caught up in the musical for a really long time, so we were really pumped just to hang out. Well, we were at our friend's house kind of watching a movie and he was telling me that I should go home and sleep instead of going to Lindsey's, cause I was sick, and I was like, "yeah, that'd be the smart thing to do, but...I don't feel like being very smart right now..." So when we stopped by at our house before heading to Lindsey's so that I could get my stuff, we were in my bedroom, and I was just kind of standing there, looking at the floor (Lindsey probably thought I was about to crash) and then I was like, "Well, I guess I probably should stay here, that way I can sleep and I won't infect you..."

So we put off our sleepover!!! AREN'T I SMART, MOM!!! which means that you have to let us have it this weekend (speaking of which, do you want to go to Stephanie's play with me on Saturday? remind me...) Anyway, instead of going right to bed, I went down to the basement, and Dad and Rosalind had about an hour left of the Bourne Ultimatum, so I watched the rest of it with them, kind of spacing out during the fight scenes and car chases....

Anyway, although we've missed Mom, we've had a pretty fun week: we each took turns at making dinner this week, and it was a lot of fun...Rosalind and I decided that now that the musical is over, we should each take a day a week and make dinner--so this week, this was our menu: Monday-hamburgers; Tuesday-Dad made some delicious pork fried rice; Wednesday-I experimented with corn chowder from that recipe book, Rachael, and it turned out very well; Thursday-Rosalind made potatoes and brats; Friday-I had a quesadilla then went out with friends, don't know what Rosalind and Dad had; Saturday-we went to Stir Max; and today- we made a really, really good dinner of rosemary parmesan chicken (this is EXCELLENT), parmesan couscous, asparagus, homemade bread and jam, pineapple, and Rosalind made banana cream pie. We had Grandma and Papa over and they loved it!

It's probably a good thing that we have a three-day weekend, because there's been a lack of, let's say, strict bedtimes, so it's good to be able to have an extra day to get more sleep and recover from colds before we go back to school. We're excited for Mom to come back tomorrow and I'm excited to make corn chowder for her! cause it was pretty amazing and i'm proud of myself! Rosalind and I have tried to keep the house pretty clean, and it doesn't look half bad! anyway, that's enough for now, oh yeah!! i remembered! (one of the reasons i was posting now...)

I cut my hair! really short!! when it's curly, it barely touches my shoulders...it's sooo cute! and it's a lot easier to handle in the morning. (ugh, i just got the hiccups). So, i just noticed how funny it is that a lot of our families blogs reflect how we speak. Rachael, Mary Beth, and Mom are all writers, so theirs are very well structured with good vocabulary and grammar, just like they speak, and mine is very characteristic of my speech patterns! very ADD, all my sentences never seem to end, and i go from one thought straight to the next, sometimes without any connection between them!! haha, that's funny!
